Learning To Talk DVD

Learning to Talk, Talking to Learn is an early learning resource for childcare practitioners.

Presented by Dr Tanya Byron from the House of Tiny Tearaways and Little Angels, Learning to Talk has been jointly produced by the BT Better World Campaign and I CAN as part of the Make Chatter Matter campaign. Make Chatter Matter aims to highlight the importance of children’s speech and language as the foundation for all learning and social development.

The self-study resource supports all workers in the early years including child minders, playgroup co-ordinators, pre-school teachers and nursery nurses to create communication-rich environments. The resource includes tips and examples of how early years professionals can turn every activity in their setting into a communication development opportunity.

The Learning to Talk DVD also comes with two posters:
Top techniques to develop children's speech and language
Stages of Speech and Language Development.
