I CAN Help is a range of information services that provide help and advice to parents and practitioners about speech, language and communication. It includes a free call-back service with a speech and language therapist, Talking Point - the website dedicated to speech and language, and I CAN's assessment services.
Talking Point is the website dedicated to children’s speech, language and communication. It is designed for parents and people that work with children as well as children and young people themselves. This information portal contains everything you need to know about supporting children’s speech and language development.
Our two outstanding special schools, Meath in Surrey and Dawn House in Nottinghamshire, directly support children who have severe and complex speech, language and communication needs.
The Early Years are a crucial time in children’s speech, language and communication development. I CAN has a number of programmes and initiatives to support children’s centres, nurseries and pre-schools.
Primary Schools can benefit from an I CAN programme for the whole school as well as a ‘catch up’ programme to support specific groups of children with their speech, language and communication skills.
I CAN has developed a practical programme to support young people’s communication development through secondary schools. We also have projects to work with young people at risk of offending or school exclusion.
