Early Talk

Welcome to Early Talk Online.

Early Talk Online provides access to information and resources that will help practitioners improve their skills and confidence in supporting the speech, language and communication development of all children.

I CAN’s Early Talk programme supports the communication development of young children across the UK, especially those with speech, language and communication needs, by working in partnership with children’s services to improve the skills and knowledge of early years practitioners.

Until March 2009 Early Talk was a voluntary funded project. This meant that Local Authorities who were Early Talk partners were not charged for Early Talk and its materials and were able to carry out accreditations of early year settings as part of the project agreement. From March 2009 Early Talk will be charged at a not for profit rate. Read more here.
