Better Communication Action Plan
The Better Communication Action Plan is the Government's response to John Bercow's review into services for children and young people (0-19) with speech language and communication needs. One of the key recommendation for the review was to recruit a Communication Champion.
Jean Gross officially started her new role as the Communication Champion on Monday 4th January (see Communication Champion page for more information on Jean) and there has already been a large amount of media attention around her and the recent YouGov survey (please click here to view the survey), which spoke to over 1,000 parents. The survey found that 1 in 6 children experience difficulties with learning to talk with boys generally finding it more difficult of girls. Please follow the links below to view articles published in The Times, The Independent and The Guardian this week about Jean and the survey.
