I CAN’s Chatterbox Challenge 2015: Garden Adventures with Ben & Holly is here!
Chatterbox Challenge week is here, we hope you all enjoy your Garden Adventures sing-along with Ben & Holly and wish you all the best of luck! A big thank you to all the groups fundraising for I CAN.
We would love to see and hear photos and stories from your Challenge. You can either share them with us via email (email@example.com) or tag us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/icantalk) or Twitter (@icancharity).
All funds raised from your Chatterbox Challenge will make such a difference to the one million children across the country who are struggling with their speech and language. These children are at risk of becoming withdrawn and isolated. Your donations allow us to help parents, carers and people working with children understand the importance of children's communication, how to spot when a child is having difficulties and provide information and training on communication development. We would not be able to continue this work without your support.
If you have not registered and would like to join in the fun, it is not too late! You can still take part at a date that suits you, please

We wish you the best of luck with your Challenge and fundraising and thank you all so much for your support!
I CAN’s Chatterbox Challenge is an annual sponsored sing-along for children aged 0 - 5 years across the UK.
Watch our video to find out more about I CAN's
This year’s theme ‘Garden Adventures with Ben & Holly’ encourages children to develop their communication and language skills by having adventures inside and outside and singing songs which help children to learn about their surroundings. Children will have fantastic fun learning songs around the theme and singing them together in an inclusive sing-along. As well as developing their own communication skills they'll be raising funds to help children across the UK who are struggling to communicate.
Clare Geldard, I CAN’s Chatterbox Challenge Communication Advisor, shares with us why singing is so important in helping to develop children’s communication skills.
‘Nursery rhymes and songs have been sung for hundreds of years to entertain children, distract them or soothe them to sleep. Singing with your baby or child also helps to develop children’s speech and language –learning to pay attention, developing an enjoyment for listening, understanding about rhyme and learning new words’.
