NCMA is the only charity and membership organisation that speaks on behalf of registered childminders and other home-based childcarers in England and Wales. Promoting quality registered childminding and home-based childcare, NCMA works with government and other organisations to ensure that children, families and communities can benefit from the best in home-based childcare and education. NCMA has done a great deal to enable registered childminders to develop as early years professionals and to ensure that home-based childcare becomes a fully integrated part of the children’s services agenda. NCMA will continue to work to support all home-based childcarers to make an even greater contribution to the well-being of the children in their care. This includes working with the newly developing children’s centres and extended schools to provide parents with a full choice of childcare.
