Description
The Company was formed in the UK on 10 March 1992 following its acquisition from the administrators of the former Maxwell empire by Time Warner Trade Publishing in New York and was named Little Brown and Company (UK). On 1 January 2002 it was changed to Time Warner Books UK becoming Time Warner Book Group UK two years later in January 2004.
It won the much coveted Publisher of the Year award in 1994, acquired Virago in 1995 and the science fiction and fantasy imprint Legend, from Random House, in 1997. Approximately three hundred and eighty new titles are published each year under the imprints described below. There are approximately 115 employees, most of whom work in Brettenham House, London. Through its sales team of 32, headed by David Kent, Group Sales Director, the Company offers an excellent service to booksellers all around the world.
