Chatterbox Challenge
Thank you and well done!
I CAN's Chatterbox Challenge is an annual fundraising activity for nurseries, children's groups and childminders. Children aged 0-5 have fantastic fun and develop their communication skills by singing songs and rhymes to raise money for children who struggle with their speech and language.
Thank you for all your amazing efforts, every word your little stars chattered and every pound you raise will make a real difference to children who struggle with communication. Here's what to do next:
-
Reward your little chatterboxes
Give out the stickers included in your pack and print out the certificates for each child to colour in and take home.
-
Tell everyone how it went!
The day after your Chatterbox Challenge, send a photo, with a press release to your local media. Be sure to choose a colourful photo, with lots of action (close up shots of two or three children work best). Remember to ask permission from the parents before sending the photos of their children.
You can find contact details of your nearest newspaper, radio or TV station at www.media.com.
Remember to let the parents know how it went too and remind them to return their sponsorship money and sponsor forms with Gift Aid. You can use the downloadable parents letter template.
Its still not too late for you to join the fun that is the Chatterbox Challenge 2012. Hundreds of nurseries, child minding groups and playgroups will still be taking part in I CAN's annual fundraising sing-along, to develop their communication skills and raise fund for children who struggle to communicate:
