Now in its 16th year, I CAN’s Chatterbox event aims to raise awareness around the importance of good speech, language and communication (SLC) skills for all children.
Chatterbox 2017 will take place from Monday 8th May 2017 and run for the entire week, giving nurseries and early years settings the opportunity to participate in five days of fun and engaging activities designed to get children chatting.
We will provide five quality downloadable educational resources designed by our very own speech and language experts, which will focus on the core areas of children’s early language including:
• Listening and attention
• Understanding what is said
• Learning and using new words
• Building sentences and talking socially
Get involved, enter our competition!
To enter, we will ask all nurseries and early years’ settings to send in photographs showing them participating in Chatterbox week. If yours is judged to be the best, you’ll be in with a chance of winning a voucher from our competition partner TTS – supplier of educational resources. There will be a first, second and third prize up for grabs.
If your nursery or early years setting is interested in taking part in Chatterbox 2017 please keep an eye on the website where we will keep you updated and where the activities will soon be available to download. If you have any other queries about the event please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
