Communication Consortium

The communication consortium is The Communication Trust's stakeholder group, they are a collection of voluntary and community service organisations who have expertise and knowledge of children's SLCN. The purpose of the group is to advise and support The Communication Trust's programme of work.

Ace Centre North - Giving people a voice

Ace Centre North provides help and expertise in the field of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT). Their team of therapists, teachers and technicians provide a range of core specialist services including assessments, equipment loans, training and information, as well as undertaking project and consultancy work for local and central statutory services.

Ace Centre Advisory Trust

Afasic - Unlocking Speech and Language Afasic seeks to raise awareness and to create better services and provision for children and young people with speech and language impairments. It works in partnership with local and national government, professional and statutory bodies and other voluntary organisations.

Association for Rehabilitation of Communication and Oral Skills ARCOS (The Association for Rehabilitation of Communication and Oral Skills) work with children and adults who have communication and eating (swallowing)  difficulties, their families, carers and others involved.  ARCOS provides information, advice, practical help,  specialist therapy, training and other services not  readily available elsewhere.

CandLE - Communication and Learning Enterprises Candle are a not-for-profit company who's aim is to support people who have communication and movement difficulty. This includes, amongst others, people who have been labelled with cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome, rett syndrome, learning difficulty and developmental delay.

CENMAC is a team of advisory teachers who assess and review the progress of pupils who have been referred to the service because their physical disability hinders their access to the curriculum. The service offers assessment, loan of appropriate equipment, training and reviews of progress.
